Over the past decade, the Cancer Genome Atlas contributed greatly to understanding tumors across 33 cancer types. To further characterize tumor progression and microenvironment as it grows, The Human Tumor Atlas Network (HTAN) was initiated. WashU researchers led by Dr. Li Ding got $9 million support from the NIH to investigate breast and pancreatic cancers in HTAN. Through local collaborations with project co-leads (Dr. Ryan C. Fields, Dr. William Gillanders and Dr. Samuel Achilefu) and researchers across HTAN, this project will help us dive into tumor invasion and drug resistance in cancer. Jan 11, 2019
